The Kawai GX-7 is a 7'6" semi-concert grand designed for recital halls, institutions, churches, recording studios, and professional performance spaces. As the largest instrument in the GX Series, it offers exceptional tonal power, projection, sustain, and dynamic range. Its extended bass strings and expansive tapered solid-spruce soundboard produce a commanding lower register, while the continuous vertically laminated bridge helps create smooth transitions across the tonal spectrum. Fully underfelted hammers, the CORE system, and Kawai’s Konsei Katagi hybrid inner rim contribute warmth, richness, and clarity throughout the instrument.

The GX-7’s Millennium III Grand Action uses ABS-Carbon components for exceptional speed, repetition, and stability. Extended-length spruce keys provide consistent leverage across the playing surface, and NEOTEX key surfaces offer a secure, natural-feeling touch. Its professional structural design includes four back posts, double brass casters, front and rear duplex scaling, SOLID stretcher construction, a steel-reinforced keyslip and keybed, and a V-Pro cast-iron plate.
