The Kawai GX-5 is a 6'7" chamber grand designed for demanding pianists, advanced teaching studios, churches, recording environments, and smaller recital halls. Its substantial scale provides the tonal authority and dynamic range needed for serious performance while remaining more adaptable than a full concert grand. Longer bass strings and a larger tapered solid-spruce soundboard help produce a deep, resonant lower register, a richly singing middle, and a treble capable of projecting with clarity. Kawai’s CORE system, vertically laminated treble bridge, fully underfelted hammers, and Konsei Katagi hybrid inner rim further enhance tonal power, sustain, and balance.

The GX-5 features Kawai’s Millennium III Grand Action with ABS-Carbon components, extended-length spruce keys, and NEOTEX key surfaces. This combination delivers fast repetition, excellent dynamic control, and a consistent touch throughout the keyboard. Four back posts, front and rear duplex scaling, SOLID stretcher construction, a steel-reinforced keyslip and keybed, and a V-Pro cast-iron plate provide the structural foundation required for long-term performance and tuning stability.
