The Kawai GX-1 is a 5'5" professional-quality grand piano that brings the advanced construction and expressive capabilities of Kawai’s GX Series into a size well suited for homes, teaching studios, churches, and intimate performance spaces. Its tapered solid-spruce soundboard, underfelted hammers, vertically laminated treble bridge, CORE system, and Konsei Katagi hybrid inner rim work together to produce a warm, resonant voice with excellent clarity and projection. The polished-ebony cabinet gives the GX-1 the elegant presence of a traditional grand while maintaining dimensions that fit comfortably into many residential environments.

At the heart of the GX-1 is Kawai’s Millennium III Grand Action, featuring ABS-Carbon components engineered for strength, speed, and long-term stability.
