The Yamaha GC2 is a mid-size Japanese-built grand piano designed to offer a larger musical voice than the GC1 while maintaining the practical, streamlined design of the GC Series. The Piano

Yamaha GC2

The Yamaha GC2 builds on the same general concept as the GC1, but with a longer 5'8" scale that gives the instrument a more open tonal character, stronger bass response, and greater dynamic flexibility. For many homes and studios, this size offers an excellent balance of musical depth and practical placement.

The GC2 is often compared with the earlier C2 because it shares a similar size and musical purpose. Compared with the traditional C Series, however, the GC2 has a more simplified cabinet design, including thinner legs, a non-beveled lid edge, and a two-position music desk prop. While less refined in presentation, the GC2 remains a strong Yamaha grand with excellent reliability and musical value.
