This particular 2006 YUS3 also includes a factory-installed SG Silent System, allowing you to practice privately through headphones. With a flip of the lever, the hammers disengage from the strings while optical sensors pick up every nuance of your playing. Unlike aftermarket retrofits, this system was installed at Yamaha’s factory and is fully integrated—preserving the original touch and feel of the acoustic action.

Refurbishing & Final Prep

This piano was professionally refurbished in Japan to an exceptionally high standard, with action work, hammer shaping, string cleaning, and cabinet detailing all handled by a top-tier facility in Hamamatsu. This level of care is part of why we source directly from Japan—it sets a strong foundation.

Once the piano arrives in Seattle, we take that work a step further. Every piano is inspected, regulated, and voiced in our shop to bring it to the highest standard possible. This final stage ensures a consistent, expressive touch and a balanced tone that performs beautifully across all registers.
