Seattle Piano Consignment

Looking for a good place to consign your piano?

Consign your piano with Seattle Piano Co!

As a primarily used only piano store, we are always looking for good candidates for consignment.
We treat our customer’s consigned pianos with the same care and attention to detail as we treat our shop owned pianos.

With Seattle Piano Company you can have peace of mind knowing that your piano will be refurbished to its full potential and marketed for sale on multiple forums to help facilitate a quick sale.

What is the consignment split?
Unlike typical percentage split consignments, we believe it’s much easier and transparent to arrange an agreeable net total dollar amount with our consignors at the beginning of the consignment process. This gives our clients a firm dollar amount they can count on receiving regardless of how much the piano sells for.

Who pays for the move?
We do!
There are no hidden fees associated with our consignment agreements.

How long does it take for a piano to sell?
There are a ton of variants to consider with this question, but we will do everything possible to get your piano sold as quickly as possible.

Are there any guarantees?
Of course! You, the consignor remain the owner of the piano until the piano sells.
Since Seattle Piano Co invests a significant amount of time and resources transporting and reconditioning our consigners pianos for sale, Seattle Piano Co retains 6 months to sell the consigned piano. However, this has never been an issue to date with any of our consigned pianos.

What brands of pianos do you accept for consignment?
There are hundreds of different piano manufacturers that have come and gone through the years. Our store specializes in a select few. We primarily consign Japanese and European made pianos. The most common piano brands you’ll find in our store are,

  • Yamaha
  • Kawai
  • Schimmel
  • Steinway / Boston / Essex
  • Mason & Hamlin

There are other brands European made pianos we are able to take in aside from the above listed, but no American made pianos aside from Steinway / Boston / Essex,  and Mason & Hamlin.

What brands of pianos do you not take?

Specializing in the brands listed above, leaves an abundant amount of brands that we are not able to take in. This doesn’t mean that pianos outside of those makes are bad pianos by any means they’re just not what we specialize in. Here are some examples of brands can never bring in,

  • Kimball
  • Wurlitzer
  • Whitney
  • Winter
  • Aeolian
  • Sherman Clay
  • Kohler & Campbell
  • Acrosonic (by Baldwin)
