Yamaha YUS Studio Upright
The Yamaha YUS series is a cut above Yamaha’s very high regarded U series pianos. The YUS series upright production is reserved for Yamaha’s senior staff of builders. The YUS series feature hand wound bass strings, upgraded hammer felt, and European sourced soundboard material. This is considered Yamaha’s line of “concert upright” pianos.
This is a 48” model which is the same height as Yamaha’s U1. This YUS series has a 3 piece front panel which allows for vented openings to project more tone to the player. This is a subtle design change from the traditional U series cabinet, but a very elegant one in my opinion.
Upon finding this piece, I had actually initially intended to refurbish it and bring it home as my personal piano. With our upcoming move however it makes more sense to include it in our sale.
We’re 95% done with the refurbishing on this one, and it will be on our floor a little later this week.
This would cool piece for someone looking for a high quality Yamaha upright who would enjoy some of the unique design features.
